Australian medical council is a place to give registration of a doctor. Citizens from USA, UK, Ireland, Canada can follow standard pathway to be registered in AMC. There is also a standard pathway to be qualified in AMC by giving exam. These exam are knowledge based type with MCQ system.

A doctor from Australia or New Zealand are suitable to server any where in Australia. For this only state registration is required. For overseas doctor's having AMC qualified are also eligible to server as a doctor with the permission of state Government. Overseas specialist doctor can apply for recognition for their degree through AMC.
